The Clubhouse will accompany an existing bowls green, pickleball courts and outdoor dining pavilion that opened late last year.

Construction has commenced on a transformative new community facility at the Northern Rivers’ premier over-50s lifestyle estate in Gulmarrad near Yamba, marking a significant milestone for residents.

Clarence Valley Council Mayor Ray Smith joined Lincoln Place Chief Executive Officer Paul Yeo and the community’s founding residents to celebrate the sod turn event, which will see the creation of a 2,237sqm clubhouse as part of a $9.2 million investment in recreational spaces and amenities.

Lincoln Place Chief Executive Officer, Paul Yeo, said local builder QLinc has been appointed to deliver the state-of-the-art facility, creating local jobs and investment and delivering a vibrant social hub for the estate’s growing community.

“At Lincoln Place, we pride ourselves on engaging local services when we bring our communities to life, and QLinc is playing a key role in the delivery of homes and recreation spaces at Lincoln Lifestyle Northern Rivers,” Mr Yeo said.

“Our residents are already enjoying the bowls green, pickleball court and outdoor dining pavilion that opened late last year, and now we are delivering the heart of the community – the clubhouse.

“The multi-million-dollar facility is equivalent in size to half a soccer field and will be a place for residents to socialise, entertain family and friends, and access an array of wellness spaces.

“When it’s completed next year, residents can enjoy a lounge and library area, theatre and games room, alongside dining, entertainment and communal cooking spaces.

“It will also include a large outdoor pool, sauna, gymnasium, BBQ area and craft studio. Alongside the clubhouse, the community will grow to have a resident workshop, an off-leash dog park, bushland walking tracks and caravan storage facilities.”

Mr Yeo said the retention of existing green space and mature trees was central to the design of the 18ha masterplanned community.

Construction is expected to be completed on the clubhouse in early 2026. Over the coming years, Lincoln Lifestyle Northern Rivers will deliver 250 new two and three-bedroom homes for the over-50s market across six stages, only minutes from historic Maclean and the coastline of Yamba and Brooms Head.

Mr Yeo said over-50s lifestyle communities provided an opportunity for people to free up capital and downsize into a thoughtfully designed home with abundant amenities.

“When you buy into a land lease community, you own your home outright, but there’s no Stamp Duty, body corporate fees or Deferred Management Fees, and no council rates,” he said.

“The only ongoing cost is a weekly site fee for the land that also covers the maintenance of the community and the extensive lifestyle amenities.”

New homes at Lincoln Lifestyle Northern Rivers start from $565,000.
