First Look: Final Stage of $7M Over-50s Amenities Precinct Begins at Lincoln Lifestyle Griffith Hill

Shovels hit soil on the final stage of a $7 million amenities precinct at Lincoln Lifestyle Griffith Hill this week, with a new state-of-the-art Clubhouse due for completion in mid-2027.

Griffith City Council Mayor Doug Curran, joined Lincoln Place Chief Executive Officer Paul Yeo, amenities precinct builder Brad Hammond Builders, Lincoln Lifestyle Griffith Hill residents, and local businesses, for the milestone ground breaking at the $120 million masterplanned over-50s community.

Mr Yeo said the sod turn followed the recent opening of the community’s new Wellness Centre, which included a heated indoor swimming pool and community spaces, lawn bowls green, pickleball court, golf putting green, and an outdoor terrace and BBQ area.

“Having completed the Wellness Centre, Brad Hammond Builders is commencing construction on the next stage of this significant amenities precinct, and we’re proud to have a local contractor delivering almost 1,000sqm in dedicated recreation spaces for homeowners to enjoy and entertain family and friends,” Mr Yeo said.

“The Clubhouse will be the heart of the community and feature a kitchen, bar and dining spaces, resident lounge, private cinema, craft studio, games room, and spaces designed exclusively for residents to relax in and enjoy with their guests.

“With 40 residents already living at the community and many already using the Wellness Centre regularly, we’re looking forward to providing even more spaces for them to connect when it is completed next year.”

Some of these residents, Judy, 75, and David, 79, moved from their two-storey townhouse in Griffith into a single-level, two-bedroom home at Lincoln Lifestyle Griffith Hill two months ago, seeking a lower
maintenance lifestyle with access to amenities.

“Now that we don’t have the workload of the large lawn and gardens from our last home, we’ve got more time for the things we enjoy,” Judy said.

“The Wellness Centre is close to our home so there’s no need to leave the community to stay active, and there’s always something to do. I enjoy the aqua and Tai Chi classes, and David likes to use the gym.”

David said they also enjoyed socialising with neighbours in the community spaces.

“The gathering room and the alfresco dining area are beautiful spaces to catch up, and we attend the get-togethers every Saturday, sharing a few beers and nibbles with anyone who wants to join in,” David said.

“The Clubhouse will be just over our back fence and we’re looking forward to the new games room and cinema, as well the bar and lounge areas.”

Once complete, Lincoln Lifestyle Griffith Hill will deliver more than 150 new two and three-bedroom homes, built by prestige local builder Coachwood Homes and designed specifically for over-50s living.

The community is located only minutes from Griffith town centre and close to Griffith Base Hospital and established amenities, including Griffith Golf Course.
